Lauren Beerling of Bloomington a Student Senator at The College of St. Scholastica

Lauren Beerling, child of Mary and John Beerling, from Bloomington, MN has been elected a Student Senator for the 2011-2012 term.

Beerling is a Senior majoring in Advertising and Public Relations. As a member of The College of St. Scholastica's Student Senate Beerling is the External/Legislative Affairs Committee Chair.

The Student Senate is responsible for allocating student funds, planning events on campus, and being representatives for the student body.

The College of St. Scholastica is regularly recognized as one of the finest colleges in the Midwest. The 2012 "America's Best Colleges" survey by U.S. News & World Report magazine ranks St. Scholastica in the top tier of Midwestern universities.
